Soakaway Testing

Drainage considerations are often one of the biggest issues facing redevelopment schemes, and can often present significant issues to developers. The use of soakaway drainage on new schemes can limit the impact on existing drainage systems and provides a sustainable alternative.

For soakaway drainage design the soil infiltration rate (f) is required by specialist drainage design engineers. This is calculated through testing which is undertaken in accordance with BRE Digest 365 ‘Soakaway Design’.
