Mine Workings Probing & Mine Shaft Investigations
A mining investigation is necessary in cases where potential historic workings or shafts are identified in a previous coal mining risk assessment or desk study. A rotary drilling rig is typically used to probe for shallow workings or shafts. Following delineation and on-site assessment of these features, a treatment / stablisation plan can be formalised and implemented, working closely with the coal mining authority.
