Nuclear Density Gauge Testing
Nuclear Gauge Testing is most commonly used for earthworks projects where soils are tested to confirm that they have been compacted to the standards set in the sites earthworks specification. Testing can be undertaken by a technician onsite and involves using low level radiation to measure the wet density, dry density and moisture content of soil or granular construction materials. It is a non-destructive and fast test, which is most commonly used for earthworks projects where soils are tested to confirm that they have been compacted to the standards set in the sites earthworks specification.
